A pair of Derby Crown Porcelain Co. ivory-ground oviform ewers
with frilled rims, the handles terminating in bearded satyr masks, painted in the Imari palette with stylised flowers including peonies, chrysanthemum, lotus and irises, the shoulders moulded with bands of shells, the necks gilt with vermicular and cracked ice pattern sections divided by beads, the feet and square bases with similar ornament, printed marks, date codes for 1885 and 1891 -- 10½in. (26.7cm.) high (one chipped to rim, some slight wear)
