A FINELY CARVED YELLOW JADE 'CASH' PENDANT
QIANLONG PERIOD (1736-1795)
The arch-shaped pendant is carved as an old coin, bu, and is finely detailed with further coins with inscriptions strung through string. The reverse is carved with a coiled chilong beside a plaque with four characters. The stone is of an attractive yellow tone with some russet inclusions.

Lot Essay

The circular coins to one side are inscribed with the characters 'wan shi ru yi' and 'yi fan feng shun', which may be respectively translated as 'may everything adhere to your wishes' and 'may you have a safe journey'.
