A YAOZHOU CARVED CELADON 'LOTUS' BOWL
NORTHERN SONG DYNASTY (960-1279)
The bowl is potted with deep rounded sides rising to a flaring mouth rim, supported on a short tapered foot. The exterior is carved with overlapping lotus petals, with a smooth olive-green glaze covering the entire bowl.
