A LARGE PAIR OF MOULDED CELADON-GROUND AND UNDERGLAZE BLUE 'SHOU' VASES
GUANGXU PERIOD (1875-1908)
Each vase is of baluster shape with upturned flaring necks. The waisted necks are applied with twin Buddhist lion and ball handles. The bodies are decorated with bands of stylised shou characters between floral and geometric bands. The mouth rim is decorated with a band of ruyi and the interior with butterflies and flowers.
