A LARGE CARVED ROSE QUARTZ 'CARP' VASE
LATE QING DYNASTY (1644-1911)
The vase is carved in the form of a large leaping carp emerging from crashing waves beside another smaller leaping carp, further decorated with a striding horned dragon to one side. The carps' eyes are inset with tiger-eye stones.
9¼ in. (23 cm.) high, carved wood stand
