A BAMBOO CARVING OF SHOULAO AND BOY
18TH CENTURY
The standing immortal is carved wearing long flowing robes, with a smiling and benevolent expression on his face. He is holding a gnarled fruiting branch of peaches in one hand and, stroking his long beard with the other. He is leaning towards a boy at his side, who is presenting him with a large peach.
