A pair of Russian porcelain gilt-ground plates
with blue painted rim framing a border of blue and green flowers amongst stylized foliage, to the centre of the well, the Imperial cypher of Nicholas II, the black and gilt double-headed eagle surrounded to the circumference with the words 'Nicholas Emperor and Autocrat of all the Russias' in the cyrillic script, and this in turn surrounded by eight pink roses upon a gilt ground -- 8 7/8ins.
