A Meissen (outside decorated) 'Schneeballen' circular punch-bowl and cover
the ground applied with mayflowerheads reserved with scrolling mirror-shaped panels, one painted with two wild boar figuting in a winter landscape, the reverse painted with hunting trophies, the scroll moulded panels enriched in gilt, the domed cover with a finial formed as a stag's pelt, applied with scrolling foliate handles, enriched in colours, blue crossed swords mark, incised marks -- 15in. (38cm.) high, late 19th century (the bowl broken and restored, firing cracks, minor damages and wear)
