Two Meissen groups of putti
comprising: a group of three winged putti emblematic of sculpture, wearing loose drapes, one modelled standing, leaning on a plinth surmounted by a bust of a lady, a seated putto at his feet, on the other side a seated putto holding an antique sculpture of a torsoe, the other (outside decorated) emblematic of architecture, modelled as three winged putti measuring an entablature, one standing, another kneeling and one recumbent holding a manuscript, both on rocky mounds above bands of leaves entwined with ribbons and shaped bases moulded with scrolls, painted in colours and gilt, blue crossed swords marks, Pressnummern 70 and 76, incised numerals -- 8½in. (21.6cm.) high, late 19th century (minor damages)
