A Meissen (outside decorated) group of Europa and the Bull
after an original by Meyer, typically modelled, Europa seated, wearing loose drapes attended by two maids garlanding the bull, on a mound base moulded and gilt with scrolls, painted in colours and gilt, blue crossed swords mark, Pressnummer 143, incised 2697 -- 8½in. (21.6cm.) high, 20th century (firing fault to reverse, some minor chips)
