A Meissen centre-piece and stand
the shaped oval bowl piereced with scrolls below foliage and applied with leaves and flowers, the interior enriched in pink and turquoise above scatterd sprays of flowers, the exterior lower section shell moulded, above a group of a lady and gentleman chasing around a tree stump, wearing 18th century dress, the waisted mound base moulded with scrolling foliage, on a footed scroll-moulded stand applied with flowers and painted with insects among scattered sprigs, painted in colours and gilt, blue crossed swords marks, Pressnummern 54 and 77, the centre piece impressed 2772 and 51, the stand incised 2772 -- 22in. (56cm.) high, late 19th century (possibly matched, one of the girl's hands broken and chipped, gentleman's left hand fingers lacking, some other damages and chips)
