Swiss. A fine, rare and attractive 18K pink gold openface quarter repeating musical automaton watch
Unsigned, case no. 7334, circa 1815
Full plate gilt-finished keywound movement, repeating on two hammers, musical pin barrel, music and automaton start/stop slide in the band, gilt cuvette, white enamel dial, Breguet numerals, pierced and engarved varicoloured gilt scene over black enamel background depicting a lady playing a lyre, a fountain with realistically flowing water to the right, all in unison with the music, plain circular case, music and automaton actived by a sliding lever in the ribbed band, repeating through the pendant, case stamped with casemaker's initials FLB and numbered 733
