A CARVED AND PIERCED WHITE JADE 'LOTUS LEAF' BRUSH WASHER
19TH CENTURY
It is carved as a lotus leaf with a three-legged toad, a frog and two birds perched on its rim. Two lotus flowers rise from the leaf's base. The base is carved with tied stalks that form the foot while two stems to each side each support a loose ring. The stone is of an even pale tone.
7½ in. (19 cm.) wide, on carved wood stand
