A WHITE JADE BAJIXIANG OPENWORK PLAQUE
20TH CENTURY
The elongated plaque is carved to both sides and pierced with a central chakra wheel surrounded by the Eight Buddhist Emblems, bajixiang, all linked by foliate scrolls. The jade is of an even pale tone.
3.7/8 in. (10 cm.) long
Provenance
Lizzadro Collection, Chicago, Illinois, acquired prior to 1960.
