FIRST COLLECTED EDITION, BL DUPLICATE. The first yearly bill of mortality for the city of London was published in 1582, but the yearly bills were only published on a regular basis from 1657, and are here first collected together with some earlier statistics dating from 1593. The Collection also includes four important essays on population growth by John Graunt, William Petty, Corbyn Morris, and John Postlethwayt. Goldsmiths' 9460; Kress 5773: 'very valuable bibliography in the notes'.
