LIMITED EDITION, number 243 of 245 copies on vélin d'Arches signed by Aragon and Picasso from a total edition of 275. On December 5, 1957 Picasso adorned a copy of Carmen with drawings to enhance the value of the book which was to be sold for the benefit of the National Committee of Writers. The extra-illustrated copy was bought by Marcel Duhamel whom, several years later, invited his friend Louis Aragon, to publish a facsimile edition. Pp. 104-105 and pp. 119-120 are mis-paginated.
