DOMENICO MARIA MANNI (1690-1788), polymath Florentine scholar and biographer of Aldus Manutius, wrote and published works on a broad range of topics. The following two lots were part of his private library, exemplifying the scope of his interest in European ecclesiastical history and providing a fascinating insight into the collecting habits of an 18th-century bibliophile.
