The rubies exhibit a well matching and saturated red colour, combined with a very fine purity. The few inclusions found by microscopic examination represent the hallmarks of rubies from Mong Hsu, a well known source of excellent rubies in Burma (Myanmar). Part of these rubies show an attractive saturated red colour, poetically referred to "pigeon's blood". The colour is due to a combination of well-balanced trace elements in these gemstones, characteristics for the finest rubies from Burma. The described rubies have been spared exposure to heat treatment and their colour and purity are this all natural. Assembling a matching selection of natural rubies from Burma of this quality is rare and exceptional

The intensity of vivid red colour gives these gems a sensation that is a truly fitting subject for detailed documentation
