A VERY FINE WHITE JADE BOWL
QING DYNASTY, 18TH CENTURY
The bowl is finely carved standing on a short foot ring; its deep rounded sides flare to a straight rim. The softly polished stone has an even pale-celadon tone with areas of attractive mottled inclusions.

Lot Essay

Victor Rienaecker (born 1887), was a client of London dealers Bluett's from 1934 to 1955. The major part of his collection consisted of Chinese ceramics from the Song, Ming and Qing dynasties and also carvings in jade, ivory, horn, soapstone and amber.
