A CARNELIAN AGATE LOTUS-FORM WATER POT
QING DYNASTY, 18TH/EARLY 19TH CENTURY
The milky-white part of the stone is carved in the form of a hollowed lotus blossom rendered in multiple layers of petals, the base carved with a stem issuing a smaller lotus flower, utilising the orange-red part of the stone.
3 in. (7.6 cm.) wide, carved wood stand, Japanese wood box
