Lot Essay

US$15,000-25,000

With stunning looks, the present Rolex, with its playful turquoise lacquered "stella" dial adorned with ten diamonds, is without doubt a very appealing and rare "Day-Date" example. Lacquered dials of vibrant colours, such as this one, are known among collectors as "stella dial" from the Italian word for star. In overall very good condition, this white gold specimen is a very attractive and collectible 1970s example of a timepiece with one of the most popular lacquered dial.
