The square case with foliate ring handle, the brass dial with silvered cherub head spandrels, silvered Roman chapter ring with Arabic five minute marks, date aperture to the matted centre, pierced blued-steel hands, two train gut fusee movement with verge escapement and bob pendulum, rack striking to bell, with five knopped and finned pillars, the back plate profusely engraved and signed Cowpe Horlogier/ Anglois/ du Roy AParis, case key, winding key and regulating key, on conforming later bracket
Excluding bracket: 12 in. (30.4 cm.) high to bottom of handle; 9¾ in. (24.7 cm.) wide; 6¾ in. (17.1 cm.) deep
