A DUTCH SILVER-MOUNTED TORTOISESHELL BOOK BINDING
AMSTERDAM, 1740, MAKER'S MARK INDISTINCT, POSSIBLY AHB FOR ABRAHAM HENNEBO
Oblong, the covers and spine each applied with shaped silver mounts with engraved with hatched chevron and scroll ornament, with two hinged hasps, marked on corner mounts and hasps, one hasp with later Dutch tax mark, the binding enclosing a Dutch bible published in 1670
