The oblong body with spot-hammered surface, the body applied with three dancing dogs between inscription "We Won't Go Home Till Morning" and two lines of musical notation, also with a gas lamp, the reverse with the monogram U.S.G. Jr, the globular screw-cap also spot-hammered and with cork inside, marked under base, also marked 6374/5297

Lot Essay

The monogram USG Jr. suggests that this flask was made for Ulysses S. Grant Jr. (1852-1929). U.S. "Buck" Grant was married in 1880.
