Sale room notice
Seago was a particular favourite of the later Queen Mother (née Elizabeth Bowes-Lyon), and was in the habit of presenting her with two pictures a year – one on her birthday and one at Christmas. St Mary Woolnoth has a connection with the Bowes-Lyon family through Sir Martin Bowes-Lyon (c.1497-1566), whose banner and arms hang in perpetuity in the church.
