The top and sides of the box decorated in gold, silver and black hiramaki-e, takamaki-e, togidashi and kirikane with spring scenery of a river flowing through a mountain valley, perhaps Yoshino, with various trees and flowers, interior and the base of the box with nashiji, rims silver
