Meiji period (late 19th century), signed Seimin koku
Of lobed form with twelve petals, the central roundel embellished with birds, flowers and tree by a stream in gold lacquer and mother-of-pearl on a gold ground, the outer border with petals finely chiseled or pierced with various flowers and scrolling vines, some of the details applied with polychrome enamels, set on three bracket feet; signature on base
