A Large Blue and White Porcelain Jar with Bird Medallions
Joseon dynasty (18th-19th century)
Impressively modelled with wide, bulging shoulders rising from a tapered lower body and with tall, upright neck, the vase decorated in varied lines and washes of underglaze cobalt blue with medallions containing a flying bird separated by leaf tassels above a lower frieze of flower boughs bordered by a slender blue line above the foot, the jar also applied with a glossy transparent glaze with dense crackle
