etching printed in bistre, 1888, on laid paper, watermark Scroll and Shield surmounted by Flower, a fine impression of this very rare print, first state (of two), printed with selectively wiped tone, with wide margins, a deckle edge below, a worm hole in the left margin, some minor foxing, a stain at the left sheet edge, otherwise in good condition

This very rare print is a freely drawn copy in reverse of Rembrandt’s etching Landscape with Sportsman and Dog (Bartsch, Hollstein 211; Hind 265; New Hollstein 245).
