Hollow cast, showing the Buddha seated with hands held in the mudras of "do not fear" and "fulfilling the vow" with robe tied at the waist and falling in wide curved pleats over the knees, the robe draped by a shoulder scarf well articulated at the back of the figure with three upturned pleats, the wide face framed by pendulous ears and crown of coiled hair rising in six rows to the usnisa, the urna between the arched brows; the surface with traces of black lacquer and gilding
