A HUANGHUALI RECTANGULAR BOX, YIXIANG
18TH/19TH CENTURY
The box has a circular lockplate mounted flush against the surface that continues over the beaded lip, a pair of simple bail handles on the sides, and metal-reinforced corners. The wood is well-figured and of an attractive honey-brown tone.
