THREE MONGOLIAN JADE, TURQUOISE AND CORAL-MOUNTED SILVER VESSELS
19TH CENTURY
One is a teapot with mottled grey jade body that is decorated with turquoise and coral-inlaid decoration, the cover has a coral bud finial flanked by two silver dragons surrounded by grey jade lotus petals. One is a faceted silver flask and cover which is applied on the two main sides of the flask with white jade entwined chilong, quadrilobed pendants and on the narrow sides with mask and loose ring handles. The third is a square censer and cover, the censer has a jade body raised on four silver animal-mask legs, and is fitted with a separate, waisted upper section inset on top with a shallow jade tray, while the cover, which has two upright handles, is surmounted by a jade plaque carved with two chilong amidst clouds.
