A BLUE-OVERLAY CLEAR GLASS SNUFF BOTTLE
1740-1820
Of well-hollowed, tapering ovoid form, the bottle is carved through the semi-transparent blue overlay to the bubble-suffused clear ground with orchid blooms and lingzhi borne on long leafy stems and growing amidst rocks. One side is inscribed, 'Dongtian yipin' ('First Class Cave Heaven').
2 5/8 in. (6.7 cm.) high, coral stopper

Lot Essay
