A SMALL PALE GREYISH-WHITE AND BROWN JADE FIGURE OF GUANYIN
MING DYNASTY (1368-1644)
The figure is shown standing with hands clasped at her waist. She wears layered robes, a necklace, and a cowl that covers the hair, which is centered by a seated figure of Amitabha Buddha. The flattened and somewhat swayed back is more cursorily polished. The figure is raised on a separate, greenish-grey jade base carved with petal lappets.
