A WHITE JADE SHAPED PENDANT PLAQUE
18TH/19TH CENTURY
The plaque is carved in low relief on one side with a boy holding a large pomegranate borne on a leafy branch, and on the reverse with four seal characters, liu kai bai zi (pomegranate revealing one hundred sons), on a matte ground within a rectangular seal. The semi-translucent stone is of even color.
2 1/8 in. (5.3 cm.) high

Acquired in Washington D.C., in the early 1970s.
