A SMALL WHITE JADE DOUBLE-GOURD-FORM PENDANT
18TH/19TH CENTURY
The pendant is carved as a double-gourd with an insect on the lower bulb, and a smaller gourd growing to the side, both borne on openwork leafy stems that form the loop. The softly polished, semi-translucent stone is of even white tone.
1 7/8 in. (4.7 cm.) long
