A WHITE JADE TWO-PART BELTHOOK
18TH CENTURY
Each half is well carved on top with the sinuous body of a chilong grasping a lingzhi sprig in its mouth. One half has a dragon-head hook, the other an oval loop. The stone is of even, pale greenish-white tone.
5 in. (12.7 cm.) long
Provenance
Acquired in the late 19th/early 20th century and thence by descent within the family.
