On a square base, the colorless glass body cut with diamond patterns, rising to a circular silver-mounted rim chased with scrolling acanthus above a dot-and-dash border, the sides set with two acanthus scroll handles; the domed cover repoussé and chased with stiff-leaf border and scrolling acanthus, surmounted by a chased laurel wreath finial; the ladle with similar scroll handle, the bowl gilt, marked throughout
