A PAIR OF FAMILLE VERTE 'MONTH' CUPS
DAOGUANG SIX-CHARACTER SEAL MARK IN UNDERGLAZE-BLUE AND OF THE PERIOD (1821-1850)
Each cup is thinly potted with flaring sides, raised on a short foot. The exterior of each cup is finely painted with sprays of narcissi and roses beside rocks, signifying the eleventh month of the year.

Compare the present lot to a pair of Daoguang mark and period wine cups with the same design, which were first sold at Sotheby's London, 9 June 1992, lot 283; then sold at Christie's Hong Kong, 27 November 2013, lot 3432.
