A MING-STYLE BLUE AND WHITE BOTTLE VASE
QIANLONG UNDERGLAZE BLUE SIX-CHARACTER SEAL MARK AND OF THE PERIOD (1736-1795)
The globular body of the vase is delicately painted to simulate 'heaping and piling', with a band of composite foliate scroll above a border of petal lappets. There is a further foliate scroll and a ruyi-band around the shoulder, and the neck has upright leaves rising from a key-fret border. There is a wave-band and a further ruyi border to the flared mouth rim, and the foot has a classic scroll.
