Provenance
Acquired directly from the artist and given to Lucas Maximiliaan de Jong Schouwenburg (1868-1939) and Catharina Elisabeth de Jong Schouwenburg-Waller (1875-1971) on the occasion of their copper wedding anniversary on 7 December 1912, and presented to their daughter Jacomina de Jong Schouwenburg (1911-1935) on the occasion of her marriage in 1934, by descent to the present owner.
