THREE CARVED STONE SEALS
The group comprises a green seal of irregular form with an inscription dated the autumn of 1920 praising the longevity of the stone despite physical imperfections, the face reads "Yan nian yi shou" which may be translated as "For longevity and continuing generations"; a speckled red and pale celadon seal carved with a boy on the back of a buffalo, the seal face reading "Jia zai si ling shan shui jian" that may be translated as "Home is among the four benevolent mountains and waters"; and a honey-coloured seal of irregular form carved with a robed figure, the seal face reads "Fu man qian kun" which may be translated as "Happiness is full of heaven and earth".
