Bell (booklabel). With bound in copy letter from H.G. Bohn (1796-1884,) to ‘The Times’, Jan. 1882, explaining how Beckford repurchased some of his favourite books in the 1823 sale and then continued buying.

Extra Illustrated with 12 plates after J. and H. Storer (dated 1822) and J.P. Neale (dated 1824), also with extra letterpress inserted at end. (Frontispiece spotted, offsetting to title, marginal spotting in some additional plates.) Old red boards (rebacked). Provenance: Mid-19th-century ms note stating that the collection was formed by Beckford -- C.F. Bell (booklabel). FIRST EDITION of six, coinciding with the opening of james wyatt's edifice to the public gaze.
