With stepped pyramidal pediment above the a slot for letters with hinged cover inscribed 'LETTERS' beneath 'V R' flanking a the royal crown, the door below with glazed panel with removable printed card inscribed 'Wynyard Park' and giving postal times, with diamond registered design mark and plaque engraved 'JENNER & KNEWSTUB/ 33 ST. JAMES'S ST', the oak with additional graining
23.1/2 in. (60 cm.) high; 10 in. (25.5 cm.) wide; 10 in. (25.5 cm.) deep

Probably George Henry Robert Charles William Vane-Tempest, 5th Marquess of Londonderry (1821-84) and by descent at Wynyard Park, County Durham.
