LOT 1573 PROPERTY OF AN OVERSEAS ASIAN COLLECTOR This current painting is dedicated to Anfu Wang, daughter of Dr. C.T. Wang. Dr. C. T. Wang (1882 - 1961) was born in Zhejiang Province, Ningbo. Dr. C.T. Wang took on many important roles in the government, such as vice-minister of Industry and Commerce of the First Republican Cabinet, Vice-President of the Senate, General Secretary of the National Committee of the Chinese Y.M.C.A. and was one of China's chief delegates to the Paris Conference at Versailles in 1919. Wang was also Acting Premier and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of China in 1923. Among his many great career achievements, two of the most outstanding were his appointment as China's Ambassador to the United States in 1937-38, and leading China's delegation to the 1936 Olympics in Berlin.
