Rectangular, painted with the Guard Sapper Battalion, inscribed in Russian on the reverse 'To the Duke of Darmstadt' signed in Cyrillic and dated 'I. Savel’ev, 1845, [after] Ladurner' (lower left and right), framed, marked on reverse with blue factory mark
