AESCHYLUS, SOPHOCLES & EURIPEDES. Tragoediae, in Greek. Strasbourg: Johann Heinrich Heitz, 1779-80. 2 volumes, 4º (224 x 170mm). Ruled in red. Woodcut headpieces. (A little light foxing at beginning and end of each vol.) Contemporary green morocco, single gilt fillet round sides, flat spine gilt-ruled in compartments and the top compartment containing the Duke of Devonshire’s crowned cypher, gilt edges. Provenance: the Duke of Devonshire (binding, Chatsworth book-label).
