Woodcut Gryphius device on title, woodcut initials, ruled in red throughout. With 2 final blanks. (Long, clean tear through y2, y5 and y6 adhering together.) Contemporary French calf, sides with painted, gilt-tooled strapwork border surrounding a central oval with two large fleurons, flat spine in three compartments, centre compartment with massed florettes, two others with larger scrolling flowers, gilt and gauffered edges (some losses of paint and tooling on covers, spine restored). Provenance: Mark Antonio Romoli (signature at front). Adams S-1676.
