Lot Essay

Hilda Moore was one of the Gaiety girls, a group of Edwardian actresses, and one of Gerald du Maurier's leading ladies.
Her most famous film roles included Whoso Is Without Sin (1916), The Broken Melody (1916) and Sappho (1922). She was married to the actor Austin Fairman, and died on May 18, 1929 in New York City.
