by the Baltimore Painter, the squat body with wide everted rim and knotted handle bifurcating at rim, decorated with a woman seated on rocks, wearing a chiton, holding out in front of her a cista and situla, and a ball behind, elaborate palmette motif below the handle, vitruvian scroll around the rim and above the base, details added in white and yellow, rim repaired -- 3 3/8in. (8.5cm.) high, late 4th Century B.C.
